About Me

I am a PhD student at University of Pittsburgh. I have completed my Masters degree in Statistics from Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. My primary research interests include Robust Analysis, High-Dimensional Statistics, Causal Inference, Bayesian Analysis. I love working on exploring new interesting fields in which I have little experience in.

I hail from Jalpaiguri, a town in West Bengal, where I spent the entire duration of my school life. I spent 3 years in Kolkata for my Bachelors degree and the final year of my Masters at Kanpur. I am fortunate enough to be advised by Prof. Amit Mitra, who guided me through my M.Sc. Research Project, introducing me to problems pertaining to robust and parsimonious signal processing models.

Apart from the academic pursuits, I am very passionate about music and cricket. I love playing piano in my spare time.
